Anthony Hoernke, HVAC Service Supervisor at Bassett Mechanical says, “The benefit to being a full coverage agreement is that with our maintenance we’re able to prevent a lot of problems before they happen or catch them and be able to resolve them before they’re an issue and before they are noticed or affecting the building.”
“It covers parts and labor on service calls and that sort of thing I think it helps UCC to balance their budget, they have a fixed cost of at least maintenance and repairs for the most part also not having to worry about getting quotes from us for simple repairs or things that could otherwise been prevented. Under the agreement we’ve done a number of things such as replacing compressors and motors, heat exchangers, all many other aspects,” says Anthony.
Julio Nieves, UCC Security/Maintenance Supervisor says, “For a big campus like ours, it can get very expensive, there’s a lot of things that go wrong sometimes and with the agreement it’s covered by Bassett. Having Bassett on board since they know our system very well, they can diagnose a problem and let us know before the problem becomes out of hand.”
Bassett is proactive with quarterly maintenance. That includes inspections and on the spot repairs. This helps catch issues before they become a bigger issue. Anthony says, “If I find issues about the maintenance, I just take care of them. It helps to keep everything running and hopefully eliminate calls to Juan and Julio and keeps everybody happy and comfortable.”
